Script Frenzy

The task is simple: write a 100 page screenplay in 30 days.
Will I be able to do it...?

Anyway. Screnzy's in a week! I'm totally pumped.

I'm writing a screenplay version of a modernized Alice in Wonderland, titled Alice's Adventures Underground. It's gonna be fairly neat. I'm working on a 'soundtrack'... I have this so far:
1. (opening scene) "4 Ghosts I" - Nine Inch Nails
2. (falling down the rabbit hole) "Gravity" - The Dresden Dolls

As you can tell so far, it's kinda varied. Hahaha.

Seriously, though, there's gonna be quite a bit of Dresden Dolls on here, NIN, Amanda Palmer, Evelyn Evelyn, Abney Park, who knows what else?

Mad as a Hatter (Dialogue Spine)

Dialogue Spine

***

Mad as a Hatter
Well, hurry up, make your move already. I've made twelve. And I've checkmated you three times already!
"Excuse me sir... or madam, I can't really tell which you are... but whom, exactly, are you playing chess with?"
Myself. There's no-one else here, now, is there?
"O-of course, then. What is this piece?"
Don't touch it!
"Oh!"
It's my line of defense.
"A... dime... yes, a very good line of defense if you'd ask me. Very good indeed."
Precisely. So, who are you?
"My name is Alice, sir."
Alice? Ahh. No wonder. You're awfully late for tea, you know.
"Tea?"
Five hours late! It's all gotten quite cold, you know.
"Where is it?"
I told you, late for tea.
"Yes, I know that. But where is the tea?"
Of course it's not here! I've been waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and you finally arrive, and there's no tea left... what a shame.
"A shame indeed, I may say... you haven't introduced yourself, have you?"
I'm the Mad Hatter... of course.
"Well, it's nice to meet you."
Of course, of course, Alice. Now, did I mention that you're late for tea?
"Yes, you have."
Well you are.
"I know that, sir...?"
Precisely! Since you know that you were late for tea, why were you late for tea? That's exactly what I'm asking!
"I didn't know."
You told me you knew.
"Yes, but I didn't know at the time..."
No, no, no. No excuses. You were late for tea.
"It doesn't need repetition. I know that already."
Yes, I know, but I'm very busy.
"You weren't doing much when I got here. Just playing chess with your--"
Yes! Very, very busy. Very busy, indeed. I've got important matters to attend to. I don't have all afternoon.
"Sir... it's nearly midnight."
As I said, I don't have all day for idle chatter, dear Alice.
"But you said--!"
Does it matter what I said? I don't have time for this talk of chess and nonsense!
...and did I mention that you were late for tea?
